Great news for travelers between Kanpur, Lucknow, and Unnao! A brand-new Y-shaped bridge is set to make commuting easier and faster. The bridge, spanning over the River Ganga, will be 12–12.5 meters wide and cost ₹726 crore to build.

- Location: The bridge will connect Trans Ganga City to VIP Road.
- Design: Originally planned as a four-lane bridge to Sarasaiya Ghat, it was redesigned to a Y-shape to reduce traffic congestion.

- Vehicles from Lucknow will exit at Dhobi Ghat and reach Kanpur via Bhairav Ghat Marg.
- Vehicles from Kanpur heading to Trans Ganga City, Unnao, or Lucknow will use the bridge from Rani Ghat.
Next Steps
The project has been approved by the UP State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) after a high-level meeting with officials, including the Police Commissioner and Setu Nigam MD. A final cost estimate will be ready in 15 days, followed by government approval and a detailed project report.
